As the Wajarri Enterprises Limited team continues to grow to a strong 37 employees, the team came together last month to tighten our bond as a business and ensure we are all connected to continue reaching our goal to support the growth of the Wajarri community and ensure our people thrive.

Our theme for the day was Championship Teams, and we focused on what it takes to achieve that status through various guided learning activities, facilitated by Rapid Teams. Our journey toward becoming a true championship team centered around four key pillars:

  1. Collaboration and Planning: We delved into strategies for working together more effectively, ensuring our projects are well-coordinated and that each team member has clarity in their role and how aligning our efforts, which will prepare ourselves to tackle larger, more complex challenges in the future.
  2. Building Trust and Accountability: Trust is the foundation of any successful team, and we engaged in activities that helped us reinforce our mutual accountability. Whether it is hitting project deadlines or supporting each other in daily tasks, we aim to create an environment where trust thrives.
  3. Continuous Improvement: As part of our commitment to being a championship team, we emphasised the importance of learning and growth. Our discussions highlighted how embracing new skills and perspectives can propel both personal and team success.
  4. Complex Problem Solving: Problem-solving is at the heart of innovation. Through group exercises, we explored how diverse ideas, and expertise can come together to solve the complex problems that our enterprise and community may face in the future.

As we continue our journey, it is clear that becoming a championship team is not just about performance, it is about unity, resilience, and lifting each other up so that the entire Wajarri Enterprises family, our partners and our broader community can prosper.

“It was great to have as many people as we did in the room to take part in our first WEL team day! As a business, we have grown at a rapid rate over the past year, so it was amazing to have everyone in the same room to help understand each other a bit more and how we can cooperate to help reach our values and goals set for the benefit of our community.” Samantha Aiken, Human Resources Manager.
