WEL Awarded Contract with Strandline at their Flagship Coburn Mine Site
Making our mark as a credible and trustworthy organisation in the Mid-West region of Western Australia, Wajarri Enterprises has been awarded a Waste Management contract with Strandline, who reached out to us looking to improve their Indigenous engagement in the region.
Strandline Resources Limited is an emerging producer of critical minerals with projects in Western Australia and East Africa, focusing on delivering these critical minerals safely and sustainably.
The project with Strandline opened two job opportunities with WEL, with continuous presence on site with two operators performing back-to-back one-week-on, one-week-off rotations. WEL is excited to invest in this project and the opportunities it brings, purchasing a 13-tonne excavator.
The contract at the Coburn site provides hands-on experience within the minerals industry and kindly allows WEL to utilise this site as training for Wajarri Yamaji people. Training will be offered for future excavator operators with day trips to site to support this initiative.
“We’re excited to be working with Wajarri Enterprises Limited at our Coburn Site. They stood out to us as a well-structured Aboriginal company, with resources and capabilities that complemented our own.” Kathryn MacTaggart,
Senior Contracts Administrator, Strandline Resources
