Wajarri Group 

The Wajarri Group is made up of three entities each with a different focus, though all three have the overarching aim to achieve the vision of:

‘Engaging, empowering and investing in Wajarri Yamaji Peoples’ future.

The three organisations are:

  1. Wajarri Yamaji Aboriginal Corporation RNTBC (WYAC)
  2. Winja Wajarri Barna Limited (WWBL)
  3. Wajarri Enterprises Ltd (WEL)

WYAC

Wajarri Yamaji Aboriginal Corporation RNTBC acts as a trustee for the native title rights of the Wajarri Yamaji People in Western Australia. The native title rights the Wajarri Yamaji people have been recognised in several determinations, the combined area of these determinations being 83,943 square kilometres located in the Murchison and Gascoyne regions of WA.

The trust funds held in the Wajarri Trusts are used to support a number of programs that directly benefit Wajarri members.

  • Youth Program - 15 years & under
  • Youth Program 16-25 years 
  • Seniors Program 
  • Language & Arts
