As a registered charity, WEL operates under the governance of the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC). This designation means we meet strict standards of accountability, transparency, and service to the public. It also ensures that any profits we generate are reinvested into programs, initiatives, and services that benefit the Wajarri Yamaji community. 

Being a registered charity allows us to:

Employment and Training Opportunities

WEL creates pathways for Wajarri Yamaji people to gain meaningful employment and develop skills that foster long-term career growth. Through our partnerships with local businesses and major projects like the Square Kilometre Array village operations, our internal maintenance team and more. We connect individuals with opportunities that align with their aspirations and  .

Community Development

The Desert to Coast Drivers Program empowers young Wajarri people aged between 16-24 with affordable driving lessons and supervised driving hours. WEL currently is the sole donator to this program and highlights the difference your donation can make to the Wajarri community.
